Aatam Paatam Kondatam 2003

(An occasion to unearth hidden talents)

The excitement was in the air !!

And everyone who experienced 'Aatam Paatam Kondatam '03' was 'infected' by it!

Held in the D.A.V School premises at Mogapair, Chennai on 5th January 2003 between 2.00 - 7.30pm Aatam Paatam Kondatam '03, lived upto its name, be it the outdoor activities which had several fun filled games for all age groups (there was something for everyone!) or the indoor celebrations!

The day will be remembered by more than 600, as it has touched their life in some way or other.

The prime motive of the entire program was to bring smiles to the faces of the not-so-fortunate of our society. The participants were delighted to be recieved by mickey & clown who entertained them and distributed chocolates.

From then on the afternoon was full of fun, games, eats and gifts. Providing them with wholesome entertainment were a buch of fun filled games - Breaking the Pyramid, Ring the stumps, Pot the Ball, Balloon Shooting, Place the Coin, Basket Ball, Ring the bottle, Bowling, Feed the Clown, Ring your luck, Bouncing Castle - each with attractive prizes.

The participants were entertained by a Dog Show. They were filled with laughter and enthusiasm to see the dogs perform tricks - an unique opportunity indeed.

Getting a Day off from Bread & Cheese the Pizza Corner people not only provided the participants with gifts & games but also enjoyed themselves.

The participants unmindful of their 'challenges' participated in each and every game and walked away with a smile on their face & an handfull of prizes.

The fun indoors started off with some lively music from the orchestra, with the balloons and decorations everywhere reflecting the festive mood and high spirits. Needless to say, an impromptu jam session followed, tempting the 600-odd audience to join in. Laughing, dancing, clapping, cheerfully chattering away, the audience was just waiting for the rest of the evening to unfurl. And unfurl it did, with some truly beautiful performances from the different NGOs.

Who can forget the seventy-plus years 'young' grannies from ARUWE dancing to 'O Podu' or the visually challenged dancer who took our breaths away? Or the mimicry? Or the rest of the performances, for that matter!

Compere Archana put in a commendable effort in conducting the show, ensuring that there was never a dull moment.

One thing is for sure, to everyone who was there, Aatam Paatam Kondatam '03 was truly a big drop of joy in the 'cup of their life'!

Life is what me make it, always has been, always will be.
